1️⃣ Day 1: Arusha to Machame Gate – Hike to Machame Camp (2,850m)

  • Pick up from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Machame Gate (1,640m).
  • Complete park formalities and begin trekking through the lush rainforests.
  • Spot wildlife like blue monkeys, colobus monkeys, and exotic birds.
  • Reach Machame Camp (2,835m) for dinner and overnight stay.

2️⃣ Day 2: Machame Camp – Shira Camp (3,840m)

  • Start the steep ascent towards Shira Plateau.
  • Pass through moss-covered trees and high-altitude landscapes.
  • Arrive at Shira Camp (3,750m) for rest and an overnight stay.

3️⃣ Day 3: Shira Camp – Barranco Camp

  • Hike towards the Lava Tower (4,630m) for high-altitude acclimatization.
  • Descend into the scenic Barranco Valley and navigate the famous Barranco Wall.
  • Arrive at Barranco Camp (3,900m) for an overnight stay.

4️⃣ Day 4: Barranco Camp – Barafu Camp

  • Continue trekking through alpine desert landscapes.
  • Pass through the Karanga Valley before reaching Barafu Camp (4,670m).
  • Early dinner and rest to prepare for the summit push.

5️⃣ Day 5: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Camp

  • Start the summit attempt at midnight with headlamps.
  • Trek through Stella Point (5,756m) and reach the Uhuru Peak (5,895m)—the highest point in Africa!
  • Celebrate at the summit with breathtaking sunrise views.
  • Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for a well-earned rest.

6️⃣ Day 6: Mweka Camp – Moshi (End of Tour)

  • After breakfast, trek down to the Mweka Gate (1,640m).
  • Receive your Kilimanjaro Summit Certificate.
  • Transfer back to Arusha for drop-off or airport transfer.
